Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect – Cloud & Datacenter to design, validate, and govern end-to-end infrastructure solutions spanning hybrid cloud, private cloud, and on-premise datacenter environments. The role requires strong expertise in cloud platforms, enterprise datacenter technologies, virtualization, automation, and infrastructure modernization.
The candidate will drive architecture strategy, solution design, client advisory, and technical governance across infrastructure transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Design
- Public Cloud (IaaS, PaaS)
- Private Cloud
- Hybrid Cloud
- Traditional Datacenter
- Develop High-Level Design (HLD).
- Create reference architectures and reusable solution blueprints.
- Ensure scalability, resiliency, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
2. Cloud Architecture
- Design solutions on:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services
- Google Cloud Platform
- Architect landing zones and governance frameworks.
- Design identity and access models (IAM, RBAC, Zero Trust).
- Suggest cost optimization and FinOps best practices.
3. Datacenter & Infrastructure
- Architect solutions involving:
- Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)
- SAN/NAS storage architectures
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Plan datacenter consolidation and modernization initiatives.
- Design compute, storage, and network capacity models.
4. Automation & DevOps
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
- Terraform
- Ansible
- Azure DevOps
- Design CI/CD infrastructure pipelines.
- Enable containerization and orchestration using:
- Kubernetes
- Docker
6. Migration & Transformation
- Lead cloud migration assessments and strategy.
- Define 6R migration models (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, etc.).
- Conduct TCO and ROI analysis for cloud adoption.
- Provide advisory for legacy modernization.
7. Stakeholder & Governance
- Engage with business stakeholders and CXOs.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture.
- Conduct architecture review boards and technical governance.
- Create proposal and Cost case development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure; 5+ years in architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Hybrid cloud architecture
- Datacenter infrastructure design
- Virtualization and storage systems
- Enterprise networking
- Cloud security architecture
- Hands-on experience in at least one hyperscaler (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Experience with DR design (RPO/RTO modeling).
Certifications (Preferred)
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- VMware VCP / VCAP
- TOGAF (preferred)
